NAHB honors Taylor Brown with Prestigious “One to Watch” Award
Las Vegas, NV (January 21, 2020)—The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has named Principal and President of NRP Construction, Taylor Brown, the winner of the national multifamily “One to Watch” award.
As part of NAHB’s “Pillars of the Year Industry” awards that highlight the top multifamily developments and professionals in the field, “One to Watch” recognizes young leaders who are making a significant impact in the multifamily industry.
Brown accepted the award at the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas. Brown joined The NRP Group in 2005 when he was 23 years old and has advanced every two years since he started. Since Brown began at NRP in 2005, the construction team has grown from 128 members to 785, increased from 1,500 unit starts per year to nearly 4,500, and from $140 million in core company revenue to nearly $550 million. Through all of this, Brown has been a key driver of NRP success.
In 2016, at the age of 33, NRP named Brown Principal and President of NRP Construction. After three years in his role, Brown’s team has generated $1.1 billion in construction revenue, expanded the NRP Construction employee base by 72 percent, and achieved a No. 6 ranking on the 2019 Top Multifamily Builders list. Under Brown’s leadership, NRP also launched a third-party construction business that started 1,200 units in 2019 and has already generated a 2020 pipeline of 2,400 units — a number that would land it as a stand-alone business at No. 26 on the 2019 Top National Multifamily Builders list.
